Conway Getaway

fruit at market

Conway is a small town 30 minutes inland bordering the Waccamaw River.  There are great restaurants, a boardwalk, hipster boutiques, and historic buildings.  If great movies haven’t been filmed here yet, they will be one day.  It’s got the small town feel you only see in the movies.

We suggest you plan a trip to Conway on a Saturday, when the market is open from 8am – 1pm.  You’ll find sweet Georgia peaches and High Country berries, as well as seafood vendors and craft brewers.  It’s an extension of Waccamaw Market Cooperative, a nonprofit organization that coordinates markets throughout Horry and Georgetown counties.  This is a great chance to sample local flavor, and speak to local growers.  Conway’s market is located at 217 Laurel Street.
